When purchasing a home, hiring Tyler as your Realtor is FREE!

The way that real estate commissions work is often mis-understood. The assumption is that everyone pays a commission to hire a Realtor. This is false.
In Manitoba, the seller pays the commission to both the listing Realtor and the agent representing the buyers.
Due to this, we do not charge a commission to our buyers for sales completed through the MLS.
Private sale purchases are handled on a case by case basis.

BUYER BEWARE! - The amount of commission offered to the buyers agent is determined by the seller and their Realtor. In Manitoba, this percentage is typically 2% of the sale price, but not always.
Some Realtors will have their buyers sign a “top-up” agreement to ensure they get this amount (or more!) no matter what. That way if the listing agent is only paying out 1.5% the buyers would then have to pay the remaining 0.5% to “top-up” their agents commission to the 2%.

We’re not fans of that and will NEVER ask our clients to do this for a traditional purchase.
